How do you act, speak, or dress differently according to which group you are with or whom you are around? Why do you make these adjustments? Do you think it is hypocritical or false to make such changes? Why or why not? Which is the real you?
I definitely act, speak, and dress differently when I'm around different groups. General examples to illustrate this are that when I'm with friends and peers, I dress more casually in stuff like jeans and t-shirts. Also, as far as speech goes, I 'm not afraid to use slang when I'm with friends. On the contrary, when I'm with adults apart from my immediate family, my speech and the way I act differ immensely from when I'm with my friends. I would never say "young bull" in front of one of my father's colleagues. With dress though, I don't really feel that clothing really fluctuates as much with respect to whom I'm around. I think for the most part what I wear coincides with the actual event I'm participating in, such as a concert. I believe I make these adjustments mainly due to the tradition of the ages. I do think though, that these adjustments are necessary to maintain social order and perhaps a degree of authority to adults, which is certainly necessary in an age of rebellious youth.
